Ratangad (रतनगड) is a fort in Ratanwadi, Maharashtra, India.Name itself enough that it is a Jewel in all forts.Located in Ahmednagar it is oldest artificial catchment area.
Ratangad has a natural rock peak with a cavity in it at the top which is called 'Nedhe' or 'Eye of the Needle'. The fort has four gates Ganesh, Hanuman, Konkan and Trimbak.Forts like Alang, kulang, Madan gad, Harishchandragad, Patta are seen easily from top of the Ratangad fort.Entire view of Bhandardara dam gives gratification & joy.
Best time to visit this fort is from October–February when the temperature is cool & you can really enjoy this trek.

- 4.00 AM: Reach the base village Ratanwadi
- After breakfast Begin trek to Ratangad
- Reach by 8.00 am and explore the fort
- 10.00 am: Start your descent down & reach by lunch time
- After lunch start Journey to Pune
- Arrive in Pune by 11.00 PM
